It takes a village to run the competition events for our athletes. Participating in the process is one of the best ways to be an active member in the program. Thank you in advance for your efforts and cooperation with our events.
-
Who must work? All families who have an athlete participating in the KSC/KMS Competitions Programs are required to participate in the KSC/KMS Work Obligation Program.
-
What is a credit? To earn one (1) credit, you must sign for one day/event. Almost every day/event is equal to one credit unless otherwise stated in the KSC/KMS Work Obligation Program Guide, available online on the programs’ web site.
-
What are the work positions? Event work includes, but is not limited to, gate keeping, timing, course maintenance, scoring, and registration. Please read the Work Obligation Guide for further descriptions of each position.
-
How many credits are required? One credit (1) per family for families with an athlete in the Mountain Division, FutureStars and Stars programs, and two credits (2) per family for families of athletes in all of our other Alpine, Freestyle, Freeskiing, and Snowboarding Programs.
-
What do I need to do? Each family is required to file this form with a check for their Work Obligation Agreement prior to the start of the program. Families who are required to earn one (1) event credit must pay $100, and families who are required to earn two (2) event credits must pay $200. Checks should be made out to KSC/KMS Competitions Programs.
-
How do I sign up to work? At the beginning of the season when the 2011-2012 KSC/KMS Competitions Calendar is complete, a list of all events and positions that are needed will be e-mailed to all families. Families can sign up for an event at the KSC office.
-
What if I would rather not work? Although not encouraged, families may elect not to work. In this event your Work Obligation Agreement check will not be reimbursed.
-
How do I track my credits? Sign in at the KSC office or event registration on the day of the event.
-
What if I sign up and can’t make it?Once you have committed to an event, you may change event(s) up to a week prior to the event. Within one week of the event, it is your responsibility to find a substitute.
