Mara Taylor holds a BA in English Literature from Smith College, two Masters degrees, and a PhD in Learning Sciences and Human Development from University of Colorado Boulder. At CU Boulder, she studied how discourses of race, privilege and opportunity materialized in an education reform movement, and her research was published in Whiteness and Education, Journal of Education Policy, and Interface. She previously worked as English Department Chair at two independent schools. Mara enjoys yoga, downhill skiing, hiking and paddle boarding.
