Snowboard and SkiCross athletes make a lasting impression at multiple events

The Killington Mountain School Snowboard and SkiCross team travelled to SkiCooper CO this week for the US Revolution and Holeshot events. The US Revolution tour acts as a bridge between USASA Nationals and Holeshot NorAm events for athletes 13-20 years old. KMS athletes Matt Miller, Justin Giltz, Mazie Hayden, and McKenna Latt competed at both Holeshot and Rev Tour while Ben Smith and Liam Scott made impressive debuts at their first Revolution Tour. KMS athletes raced hard and placed well across the events. Several athletes made significant milestones for their seasons. Highlights include the following:

Mazie Hayden earned another Holeshot podium, placing as the top US Women and ensuring her spot on the US Junior Worlds SkiCross team in her first year of eligibility. In addition, she won the Revolution Tour. Matt Miller continued his string of consistent results, and maintained his position until the top 20 overall for the Holeshot series. Justin Giltz had two breakthrough performances- his first Holeshot top 16 along with a trip to the small finals and 8th place in his first Holeshot. Next stop for Mazie Hayden is the Canadian SkiCross NorAm at Blue Mountain, while the rest of the team trains and preps for USASA Nationals in Colorado at the end of March.
