Student of the Week - March 9, 2017
Congratulations to Dylan DaMore who was named Student of the Week at Wednesday's all-school meeting. Dylan is a middle-school Freeski BOOST athlete who comes to KMS from Woburn, MA. He was nominated for this award by BOOST Coordinator Hanne Bailey who said, "Dylan really understands what it takes to be responsible, independent, inquisitive and hard working
student-athlete. He shows qualities of the
ideal KMS student, but his
charismatic, respectful and lighthearted character really makes him stand out. He has taken other new students under his wing and made them feel welcome." English teacher Kate Stone agreed, "For the past month, Dylan has conquered a tough grammar text book for his home school. In addition, he is proactive about seeking help from either me or Hanne when he needs it, and his overall character in the classroom is admirable." Freeski Program Director and BOOST coordinator Pete DuBois agreed, "I'd like to back Dylan as well. If you set him to a task he works at it until it is completed, and the work is always outstanding. He is working just as hard athletically as well and it is showing in his results! Spanish teacher Alexis Vander Els agreed with the nomination, as did Social Studies teacher Ameila Dupont who shared, "Dylan is a very hard working student! When working with him he always stays on task and seeks further instructions once the task is complete. His positive attitude always makes class more enjoyable, and he though he has only been here for a short amount of time he embraces what it means to be a KMS student-athlete." Congratulations, Dylan!
