Freeski and SkiCross success at USASA Nationals

The Freeski/Ski Cross teams had a very productive week out at Copper Mountain in Colorado for the USASA National Championships. Freeski Program Director Pete DuBois checked in with an update from how things went in Colorado:

"Montana Osinski started it off strong on the first night of the event taking third place at the Rail Jam under the lights! Montana also took fourth place in Slopestyle in a very competitive Open Class Women division.

Dylan Damore made it into Finals for Rail Jam and placed 15th out of a group of 56 of the top competitors in the US.

Felix Estes made finals in Slopestyle, landing one of the best runs of his competitive career. He wound up ranked 16th in a field of 72 competitors.

Teleri Thompson had a very strong showing during her first trip out to Nationals, placing 15th in Slope and eighth in Halfpipe.

Megan Ciaglo had an amazing week in Copper, racking up an 11th place finish in Ski Cross, a second place finish in Halfpipe and a first place finish in Slopestyle! All of this adds up to Megan being second place overall for Menehune Girls (10-11 years old).

Owen Ciaglo racked up a significant amount of hardware too, finishing fourth in SkiCross, fourth in Slope, second in Halfpipe and first in Rail Jam! This adds up to Owen being the Grommet Boys (8-9) National Champion!

Joey Damore had an amazing run in Slopestyle boasting one of the best Truck Driver grabs I have seen in quite some time. He finished up in 25th in Slope and 18th in Halfpipe."

Great work to all the athletes who rounded out their seasons with some awesome results out west!
