KC Gandee Returns to KMS' Snowboard Program

KMS is excited to share that KC Gandee will be returning to KMS as a snowboard coach this November.

Kevin "KC" Gandee has been working in the snowboard industry since 1998, first as a snowboard instructor, then as a staff trainer and program director. In 2001, KC became an Education Staff member of the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI), where he worked to earn a spot on the AASI National Team from 2004 to 2008. He then began coaching competitive snowboarding at Killington Mountain School in 2010, where he led the program to record growth and immediately began helping with US Ski and Snowboard Team with coaches education clinics, leading Level 100 and 200 coach certifications. KC was also elected by his peers to serve on the USASA Board of Directors as a Coach Representative.

For the past 10 years, KC has been the Snowboard Program Director at Gould Academy. Throughout his career, KC's athletes have earned countless podiums at the USASA National Championships and invitations to the US Ski and Snowboard Team Project Gold for SBX, PGS/PSL, and SS and regularly placed riders on the podiums of FIS North and South American Cups, the FIS Junior World Championships. Recently, four of KC's athletes were named to the US SBX National Team and one earned a place on the Chinese National Team. A regular coach at USSS SBX Project Gold, KC has also been a coach for the US SBX National Development Team, furthering his experience working with the best athletes in the country on the world stage.

KC and his wife, Courtney, along with their Golden Retriever Holly Joy Angelface and cat Daisy, returned to Rutland in 2020. KC began a career as a real estate agent in 2023 and is excited to return to KMS this winter to help our snowboard athletes realize their dreams.
